Beyond the First Draft
You have finished the first draft of your short story or novel chapter. What do you do now to take it to the next level? This workshop will offer practical advice to help you revise your work. We will focus on identifying the essence of your fiction, reviewing the narrative for its ups and downs, and analyzing and fixing problems with voice, character, dialogue, and setting. Everybody will have the opportunity to receive written and oral feedback on their work from members of the workshop. The group will also read accomplished writers to study their craft as well as their practical suggestions.
6 Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., 4/21/2015–5/27/2015
