Ballet Under the Stars 2023

The Untermyer Performing Arts Council and the Connecticut Ballet will present Ballet Under the Stars at 945 North Broadway in Yonkers.   Their annual appearance will take place on Saturday, July 15th at 6:30pm (rain or shine).  This year marks the company’s 42^nd anniversary season; it debuted at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in 1981.

Narrated by Artistic Director Brett Raphael, the performance will feature the professional company in a series of romantic duets and culminate in a performance of the popular Fosse Medley, featuring standards by jazz choreographer/movie director Bob Fosse.

According to Raphael, ‘This program has something for everyone and is a great way to introduce young people to the magic of live performance. The range of work spans both contemporary and classical ballet and music as diverse Paul Winter, Bruce Springsteen, and Argentine Tango.”
