Author Talk: Mary Calvi’s “Dear George, Dear Mary”

Join Mary Calvi, nine-time New York Emmy® award-winning journalist and NYC television news anchor, who is also First Lady of the City of Yonkers, in conversation about her debut award-winning novel, Dear George, Dear Mary. Crafted from thousands of archived letters, witness accounts, journal entries, and other documents, the novel explores the relationship between George Washington and his first love, the richest belle of Colonial America, Mary Eliza Philipse. This never-before-told story, hidden away for centuries, reveals the unrequited love that helped to ignite a cause that became the American Revolution. Followed by Q&A with HRM Director Masha Turchinsky.
