Artist Talk: Torn Together with Fernando Martinez
Port Chester-based artist Fernando Martinez is Clay Art Center’s Hispanic Heritage Month Featured Artist. Recently, Fernando’s work was selected as one of 20 finalists in the 2025 Ceramics Monthly “Emerging Artists” edition. Stop by the gallery between September 15-October 15 to view Fernando’s work. Join us on Tuesday, October 7th from 5:00-6:00 PM for an artist talk in our gallery to hear Fernando Martinez discuss his career to date, including his inspirations and processes. Originally from Argentina, Fernando Martinez is a graduate from SUNY Purchase, who specializes in furniture design and making. Fernando is a Port Chester resident who is both an artist and local business owner, making his work in his home studio, and is an artist in the Independent Study program at Clay Art Center.
