Artist Talk: Art Is Essential

Gallery owner and fine art consultant Kenise Barnes will talk about the genesis of her gallery and  how she sees the role art and of a gallery in the community.  Kenise Barnes Fine Art, a gallery and consulting firm, was founded in 1994 on the belief that art is essential. Director and owner Kenise Barnes has degrees in painting and in women’s studies. She gained early experience as the specialist in charge of contemporary art at Christies East, a division of Christie, Manson and Woods International. With more than 20 years of experience in the arts, Kenise is a frequent guest curator, speaker and advisor. Free.
