Art Workshop with Ebony Bolt
Teaching Artist-in-Residence Ebony Bolt, whose work is on view in The Neo-Victorians, creates visually positive drawings and prints that highlight the importance of diversity. Bolt will work with participants to illustrate members of their families. Participants are encouraged to bring a family portrait or picture as inspiration. Recommended for ages 14+
This program complements the Museum’s current exhibition, The Neo-Victorians: Contemporary Artists Revive Gilded-Age Glamour. #HRMNeoVictorians examines the contemporary revival of interest in ornamental lushness and dedication to craft that once defined the style of the Victorian era, with works of art from more than 20 contemporary artists that conceal pointed social commentary beneath seductive surface techniques.
Free with Museum admission.
