Antoinette Montague

Antoinette Montague kicks off the new PJS season with a high-voltage concert and includes a tribute to Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald.

Jimmy Heath says, “Antoinette has the instrument, delivery and enunciation, when performing, that touches my soul.” Born and raised in Newark, Antoinette Montague was drawn to the music by her mother who was always singing and sounded like Ella Fitzgerald. Years later Antoinette met up with the renowned Etta Jones, who became her mentor. She has played most of the major jazz clubs in New York, including Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, Kitano Jazz, the Lenox Lounge, the Blue Note, and the Jazz Standard. She has recently performed in Israel, Russia, South Korea, on a Carnival Jazz and Blues Cruise, and helped start a festival in Eleuthera. Antoinette feels just as appreciated here at home by people who enjoy the spirit she loves to bring into her music.

Antoinette will be backed by Patrick “Faceman” Rickman on trumpet, Danny Mixon on piano and more!

PJS is thrilled to welcome Antoinette Montague back to our stage!
