Annual Awards Show – The best of the best 2017

Larchmont, New York –– This is one of the highlights of our exhibition calendar featuring the best of our members’ two- and three-dimensional fine art works. Our members each enter a single piece of work in a diverse array of media, including oil, acrylics, photography, mixed media, paper, sculpture, fiber and jewelry.

Best in Show and other awards are decided by our Juror, Lydia Viscardi is a representational mixed media artist whose exhibitions include the Drawing Center, Sideshow Gallery, Active Space, Brooklyn Fireproof and The Heckscher Museum of Art in New York, Center for Visual Arts in New Jersey, and The Barnum Museum and the Housatonic Museum of Art in Connecticut. Her mixed media work is represented by ODETTA Gallery on 1stdbs.com.

Viscardi teaches Studio Art at Quinnipiac University and Housatonic Community College and is a Museum Educator at the Housatonic Museum of Art and the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art. Viscardi received a BFA from CW Post College of LI University, after studying for two years at the Toledo Museum of Art School of Design, OH, and an MFA in Visual Art from William Paterson University of NJ.

All work is for sale. A reception where the public can meet the artists and award-winners will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
