An Evening with Author Jamie Ford

The Harrison Library is delighted to welcome bestselling author Jamie Ford to Harrison.  Following Jamie Ford’s presentation, there will be a Q&A session and book signing. The Village Book Store of Pleasantville, New York will be on site for anyone who wishes to purchase a book to be personalized.

Jamie Ford is the award-winning author of the bestselling novel Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, which was awarded the Asian Pacific American Award for Literature and was on the New York Times bestseller list for over two years. Ford’s second novel, Songs of Willow Frost, was also a New York Times best seller, and has also been a favorite among community reading programs.

Ford’s latest work, Love and Other Consolation Prizes, was published by Ballantine in September 2017 and was released in paperback in May 2018. Inspired by true events, this is an unforgettable story of a young orphan boy from China who was raffled off as a prize at the 1909 Seattle World’s Fair. With this book, Ford returns to themes of identity and belonging familiar to his readers.
