Alan Sklar reads Hemingway’s “The Short Happy LIfe of Francis Macomber”

Voice actor Alan Sklar reads Ernest Hemingway’s 1936 short story set in Africa.

Masculine identity and courage, or lack of it, wrestle with marital tensions on an African safari in one of Heminway’s most ambiguous works.  Sklar has worked as a voice actor for over 20 years, narrating over 150 audiobooks including “A Civil Action” by Jonathan Harr and “Black Hawk Down” by Mark Bowden.  The Bronxville Public Library welcomes Mr. Sklar back for his second performance in the Yeager Room.
