ACT Junior Troupe’s “Nice Work If You Can Get It”

Actors Conservatory Theatre’s Junior Troupe will present Nice Work If You Can Get It on April 28, 29 and 30

ACT’s Junior Troupe offers young people in grades 5 through 12 the opportunity to perform in main stage productions with the support of ACT’s directors, choreographers, producers and technical staff who have years of experience working with young people in theatre – all at no tuition cost to students or their families.

Nice Work If You Can Get It is a screwball comedy set in the 1920s.  The show features lively classic Gershwin tunes – plenty of big, exuberant production numbers – and a hilarious script poking fun at class snobbery in the Prohibition era. The story centers around wealthy playboy Jimmy Winter, who meets rough female bootlegger Billie Bendix the weekend of his impending wedding with Eileen Evergreen, a self-obsessed modern dancer. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg… This show features plenty of other colorful, dynamic characters. A high-energy evening of fun!

Nice Work If You Can Get It is presented under the direction/musical direction of George Croom and choreography of Janice Paganelli.  Featuring: Meiora Adler, Fergus Asher, Francesca Asher, Michael Badia, Lucy Bolger, Miranda Cabrera, Sienna Colgan, Amber Cruz, Merckx Martinez Davila, Maeve Higgins, Anika Johnston, Luke Kennedy, Ryan Kerrigan, Pippa A.
