“ABSTRACTIONS – Part II” @ Rye – An Outdoor Photography Exhibit

The Ground Glass Road Show
“ABSTRACTIONS – Part II @ Rye”
An Outdoor Photography Exhibit

The Ground Glass Photographers are on a Roll again !  Undaunted by the Coronavirus Pandemic, the group’s members have taken their exhibits off  the gallery walls, out the door and into the streets.  The current show, ABSTRACTIONS – Part II, is an exhibit in the Ground Glass “Road Show” series.  The exhibit will be on display outdoors at the Rye Arts Center starting June 17 thru July 20, 2021.  Part I of Abstractions will open in Rye on July 26 and continue thru August 30.

The event is free and open to the public.

The Abstractions Exhibit represents the work of 21 photographers.  Large photographic prints ( 36” x 48”  and some even larger) on weatherproof material are displayed on walls, fences and sidewalk railings.   This type of exhibit is a significant departure from a typical gallery show where photographic images are often no larger than 16” x 20” in size.

The photographs in the exhibit are available for sale in large or small sizes

Given the enthusiastic response to its Road Show series, the Ground Glass is offering to make shows available to towns, venues or organizations interested in hosting future Road Shows.

While ABSTRACTIONS is best seen in person, a preview of the Road Show photographs may be viewed on the association’s website, thegroundglass.org.
