Abstract Art Tanabata Workshop

Participants are invited to come and create abstract hanging decorations as part of the Japanese tradition of Tanabata. Presented as part of our Summer 2023 Japanese Workshop Series: Blending Past and Present Cultural Traditions, taking place throughout June, July, and August.

Museum visitors will learn about the creation of abstract work, and how artwork that may not be figurative can hold intention and meaning.
