A Musical Potpourri at Hoff-Barthelson Music School
HBMS Faculty performs an eclectic mix of musical selections

The Hoff-Barthelson Music School Faculty Concert Series continues on Friday, November 15, 2019, at 7:30 pm, with a “Musical Potpourri” – an eclectic mix of musical selections, both familiar and new. Works to be performed include Louise Farrenc’s masterful Sextet in C minor, Opus 40; Maurice Ravel’s ingenious Piano Trio in A minor; Claude Debussy’s arrangement of Robert Schumann’s 6 Canonic Etudes for 2 pianos, Opus 56; and Joaquin Turina’s expressive and seductive Sonata for Violin and Piano, No. 2, Opus 82.

Faculty performers are Elizabeth Condon, oboe; Dorothy Duncan, clarinet; Donna Elaine, flute; pianists Hélène Jeanney, Benita Meshulam, and Tomoko Uchino; Darlene Kaukoranta, French horn; violinists Gary Kosloski and Eriko Sato; and Peter Seidenberg, cello. Joining the faculty is guest artist Gili Sharett, bassoon.

Admission to the concert is $20, $15 for seniors (60+) and free of charge for students. Tickets can be ordered by calling 914-723-1169, or e-mailing hb@hbms.org and are available for purchase at the door. Program and performers subject to change.
