Harrison Council for the Arts presents “A Few of My Favorite Things” collages by Jennifer Cadoff at the Harrison Public Library, Halperin Building, 2 Bruce Avenue, August 1 to 26.
The artworks in this show include some just-finished pieces, which are being exhibited here for the first time, as well as some of the artist’s personal favorites from the past few years.
Jennifer is a works-on-paper artist. She does large-scale drawings, assemble collages from bits of larger drawings, and, sometimes, compose pieces that she calls “paperworks” – using the techniques of hand-made books and incorporating materials like buttons, ribbons or thread.
After living in New Jersey for 25 years – where she was juried a member of both the Artists Gallery in Lambertville, and the Princeton Artists Alliance –Jennifer Cadoff recently relocated to Westchester County, NY. Her work has been selected for, and won awards in, many juried shows in the tri-state region. She is a Signature Member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, and was one of 18 artists selected in 2014 for “Jersey Women Artists Now: Contemporary Visions” at Montclair State University. She is currently a juried member of the Mamaroneck Artists Guild, which has a gallery located on Larchmont Avenue, Larchmont, NY.
The exhibit may be viewed Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30am to 9pm; Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 9:30am to 5:30pm and Saturdays 9:30am to 12:30pm. For info call the Library at 914-835-0324 or see www.harrisonpl.org.
