A Deep Dive into Deep Revision: A Master Class with Rachel Hadas (via Zoom)
In this two-hour workshop, we’ll take a close look at three techniques that are helpful to revising poems-in-progress or poems that don’t seem to quite work: squeezing out the excess; providing stepping stones; and moving the pieces around. In the week preceding the course, each student will send me two or three poems they’d like to have workshopped (I’ll choose one); and we’ll try to apply whichever technique works. I expect everyone, very much including me, will learn something useful.
NB: This class will be taught on Zoom and will be capped at 12 students. Registrants will receive the Zoom link to the email address they use to register. It will arrive immediately after registration so please check your spam folder if you do not receive it. It will also be sent the day before class as a reminder. Please review the course policies page before registering for any classes. Please email misty@writerscenter.org with any questions. Please send three poems to jennifer@writerscenter.org by October 27th at 5pm eastern.
