A Day of Art, Poetry and Open Studios
ArtsWestchester is hosting a day of art, poetry, and open studios. Starting at noon drop by the gallery and view the current exhibition Futures; beginning at 4 pm head upstairs for open studios and see what it’s like to be a working artist; and at 6 pm join Westchester County Poet Laureate Phylisha Villanueva and Friends for an evening of poetry, music and conversation. Tickets are required for Poetry and Conversation starting at 6:30 pm. Members $5.00/Non-Members $10.00

Come see the Futures exhibition in ArtsWestchester’s gallery. Sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts, the current exhibition features artworks that imagine the future of the Hudson Valley. Curator Adam Chau will lead guided tours at 2pm and 4pm.
Free Open Studios | 4-8pm
ArtsWestchester’s nine-story historic building is home to professional artists, including painters, sculptors and even a ballet company. In this open-house style event, artists throughout the building will open their doors and share their work with visitors. If you are looking for holiday gifts, this is a great opportunity to find something unique and handmade.
Gallery Nite Out: Poetry & Conversation | 6:30-8pm

Westchester Poet Laureate Phylisha Villanueva will host a special evening of poetry, performance and conversation. The evening will feature a performance by Villanueva with beat-box artist Michael Feigenbaum, readings by Poet Laureate finalists Jared Harel, Nina Robins, Robin Dellabough and Rashaun J. Allen, and a performance by Youth Poet Laureate of Mount Vernon Katlyn Diggin. A moderated Q&A with the participating poets will follow the program. Beverages will be served.
