A Conversation with Maxine Sherman, Former Principal Dancer with Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham


RiverArts presents a Conversion with Maxine Sherman

Maxine Sherman, former principal dancer with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the Martha Graham Dance Company, will discuss her career highlights with Bennett Rink, Executive Director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

In addition to working with two of the most important choreographers of the 20th century, Ms. Sherman has danced alongside Mikhail Baryshnikov and Rudolph Nureyev, and has performed in multiple opera houses around the world.

Attendees will watch video footage of some of her most famous performances. Memorabilia will also be on display.

Tickets are $10. Reservations are highly encouraged, as seating is limited.
