Artist’s Reception: July 9, 6.30pm. Alison Nicholls is a wildlife and conservation artist who lived in southern Africa and works closely with African conservation projects. In 2011 and 2012 Alison visited the African People & Wildlife Fund (APW) in northern Tanzania to sketch the people, wildlife and landscapes of the Maasai Steppe and learn more about conservation issues in the area. This exhibit showcases her field sketches and studio paintings along with details of APW’s work with local communities to reduce human-wildlife conflict.
