1st Annual Westchester International Baroque Festival
The Westchester Music Festival, New York’s newest arts organization offering professional music performance of the highest caliber, presents the First Annual Westchester International Baroque Festival at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Mamaroneck, New York.
On the weekend of September 14-16, the critically acclaimed Baroque ensemble L’harmonie des saisons will be joined by internationally celebrated vocal soloists and the St. Thomas Choir in presenting five exquisitely crafted programs of music by Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frederic Handel and Antonio Vivaldi, among others.
From Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, through Bach’s Brandenburg Concerti, to Handel’s pastoral opera Acis & Galatea, the renowned musicians and singers gathered from across North America for three days of musical delight will remind you why these great composers and their greatest works have continued to enthrall and inspire audiences for over 200 years – all presented in historically informed performance style, with period instruments.
Come to St. Thomas Church, Mamaroneck, to hear Baroque music as it is so rarely offered live, under the direction of Juno Award winning, ATMA recording artist Eric Milnes.
