Lost Raver/Empty Future: Artist Lecture by Shamus Clisset

Shamus Clisset (aka FakeShamus) is a New York based artist working with 3D media, including modeling, rendering, and animation. He draws on a mash-up of frontier imagery, objects and environments culled from American suburbia, and his own personal history and obsessions – themes of violence, manifest destiny, and the contemporary wasteland are all refracted through the prism of digital culture. He has exhibited internationally and online. Recent work has been seen at Storefront Ten Eyck, On Stellar Rays, caesura.cc, Galerie Thomas Flor, 601 Artspace, Dis Magazine, GRIN Providence, and Postmasters Gallery. He is a 2014 NYFA fellow in digital art and has taught digital imaging at Sarah Lawrence College.
