Pacifica Quartet concert
Recognized for its virtuosity, exuberant performance style, and sometimes daring repertory choices, the Pacifica Quartet has gained international stature as one of the finest chamber ensembles performing today. Now quartet in residence at Indiana University’s Jacob School of Music, it held that same position at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 2009 to 2012. The group’s program for this return engagement with us will include Mozart’s String Quartet in G Major, K. 387; Alfred Schnittke’s String Quartet No. 3; and Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in E minor, Op. 44, No. 2.
