Guest Speaker via Skype:  Edward Alden is senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations specializing in U.S. economic competitiveness.  He was the project co-director of the 2011 Independent Task Force on U.s. Trade and Investment Policy, which ws co-chaired by former White House chief of staff Andrew Card and former Senate majority leader Thomas Daschle.
