STEAM IN THE COMMUNITY: A PANEL DISCUSSION

Join us for a lively panel discussion on “STEAM in the Community”, featuring panelists who have successfully integrated STEAM thinking, ideas, and tools into the public consciousness and moderated by Stoked on STEAM.

The STEAM movement uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as entry points for engaging students, while sharpening their critical thinking skills. This approach to learning provides students with the tools they need to develop problem solving skills and innovate within areas that interest them. As more and more schools and institutions adopt this way of thinking into their curriculum and offerings, it has become increasingly important for parents to become aware of the benefits and opportunities that are associated with STEAM.

Panelists:

Neesha Rahim, Co-Founder of LevelUP Village, levelupvillage.com

Margaret Kaufer, President of STEM Alliance of Larchmont/Mamaroneck, lmstemalliance.org

Jennifer Lawton, Chief Strategy Officer, Littlebits, littebits.cc
