The Big Read: Fishing Derby Classic

This year New Rochelle Parks and Recreation annual Fishing Derby will celebrate the “gone fishin’” spirit of Tom Sawyer.  Participants dressed like Tom or one of his friends in classic book, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer will be awarded special prizes, with a grand prize for the best costume, (fish or no fish!) All Fishing Derby participants will have a chance to enjoy a scene enacted by the Readers Theater Troupe. For children in Grades K – 8 (Participants must bring their own rod, reel & hook.
