Hudson Valley Music Club May Professional Concert

The Enso String Quartet will perform Italian Serenade by Wolf, a short work by Whitehead, Verdi’s String Quartet in E Minor, and Schumann’s String Quartet in A Major. The Enso Quartet, formed at Yale University in 1999, has received high praise for its musicality and artistry. The Enso has won numerous awards, including top prizes at the Concert Artists Guild competition and the Banff International String Quartet Competition. They have made highly-regarded recordings on the Naxos label, and have performed around the world. Its members, Maureen Nelson, violin, Ken Hamao, violin, Melissa Reardon, viola, and Richard Belcher, cello, are also active as instructors, both individually and as a group. The Enso Quartet is currently based in New York City.
