Bernhard Haaks Quintet

On Friday, November 7^th Roscoe’s Room welcomes the Bernhard Haaks Quintet, presenting the music of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter and Billy Strayhorn along with original works and arrangements by Pete Levin. The quintet features Alvin & Friends favorite Haaks on drums with Lew Soloff on trumpet, Ken Gioffre on saxophone, Pete Levin on piano and Don Miller on bass. Together these talented musicians have played with the best of the best, from Ornette Coleman and Gile Evans (Lew Soloff) to B.B. King and Tito Puente (Ken Gioffre) to Miles Davis, Paul Simon and Annie Lennox (Pete Levin) to Dizzy Gillespie and Tony Miller (Don Miller). Three sets; tickets cost $15 and reservations are recommended.
