EXHIBIT: Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Observances from Mexico

The seventh annual Day of the Dead observance presented by Calaveras y Diablitos artists features an ofrenda, huge papier-mâché figures, tissue cut-outs and other traditional symbols of this ancient tradition celebrating late loved ones. The exhibit will be on view in the library’sLumen Winter Gallery during regular library hours.

Sunday, November 2, 2:00 – 6:30 pm: Day of the Dead Crafts and Performance, 2:00 – 6:30 pm

All ages are invited to create an array of traditional symbols and crafts. A free  performance by the extraordinary group of Aztec dancers, Atl-Tlachinolli, will wrap-up the annual festivities, from 5:30 – 6:15 pm.  Made possible by the New Rochelle Business Improvement District (BID), in partnership with the Library, City School District, and Department of Parks & Recreation.
