Hear Kirsten Jensen, Senior Curator of Exhibitions at the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, discuss the flamboyant artist Robert Winthrop Chandler, his painted birds (on view in Strut) and his real-life aviary in “Birds Uncaged: Fantastic Avian Menageries of Robert Winthrop Chandler.” Then see an interpretative performance of the “Peacock Dance” made famous by Ruth St. Denis by Gabrielle Schutz, a student from the Sarah Lawrence College Theatre Outreach Program.
