Yonkers Philharmonic – German Romantic Composers

The Yonkers Philharmonic under guest conductor, Tong Chen, presents a program featuring music by Wagner, Strauss and Schumann.  French horn soloist, David Jolley, joins the orchestra performing Richard Strauss’ Concerto #1.

Ms. Chen is a prize winner in 2012 of the prestigious International Malko Conducting Competition and is was a semi-finalist of the International Besancon Competition for Young Conductors in France.  (http://www.tongchenconductor.com/)

David Jolley has thrilled audiences throughout the world with his “remarkable virtuosity” (New York Times), and has been hailed as “a soloist second to none” by Gramophone Magazine. The Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra received a grant from the Westchester Community Foundation to present this concert.
