The Veterans Project Exhibition

In March, The Reilly League began something called The Veteran’s Project. Every Wednesday afternoon, a veteran came to the league’s studio in White Plains and sat for a portrait. Four or five artists would typically be there, and they would all sketch or paint the vet – interpreting the likeness in their own way.

The idea was that through portraiture, we could direct attention, and honor those who have served our country in the armed forces.

There will be a closing reception for the exhibition on Wednesday, August 6 from 4 to 5:30 pm. Please come meet the artists and the veterans who participated in this unusual project and view the art that was the result.
