Chamber Talk with Max Mandel: Caramoor Virtuosi / Moving Right Along: Rising Stars Alumni’s Bond of Friendship

Chamber Talk host Max Mandel says that he has “grown up as a musician” at Caramoor. He shares this experience with many of the alumni of the Evning Rising Stars program. In this talk Max will describe the unique friendships and collaborations that develop in a mentorship program where emerging artists come to learn, grow, and perform together. Rising Stars Alumni will be present to join Max in the discussion and share insights and anecdotes about their summer concert and one of Mendelssohn’s thrilling viola quintets.

Chamber Talk is a new three-part series hosted by Evnin Rising Star alum and viola player, Max Mandel. The goal of this program is to give audiences a deeper understanding of, and connection to, Caramoor’s Music Room events and its artists. Each talk will follow a similar pattern of lecture, concert, and conversation. This salon-style performance format allows audiences an opportunity to go in-depth and get up-close to the most personal aspects of music—the way it’s meant to be enjoyed.
