His writing appears regularly in the New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, Bon Appetit, and he’s a Contributing Editor at AFAR magazine. He’s the author of An Irreverent Curiosity: In Search of the Strangest Relic in Italy’s Oddest Town, which is currently being made into a documentary for National Geographic. He teaches writing at New York University.
