Flamenco. The word itself conjures notions of fiery passion and jaw-dropping power, neither of which will be in short supply when Carlota Santana’s company, heading into their 30th anniversary season, takes the stage. But there will also be form and subtlety, integral to the dance synonymous with the Mediterranean. Watching these artists – arched backs, rolling hips, lightning-fast feet – you’ll feel it coming, you may try to suppress it, but you may be overcome and simply have to shout out: “Ole! Ole!”
