This exhibit is based on the book, Rhythms of a Faithful Journey, which was illustrated by Robin Miller and co-authored by Robin and her husband, James W, Miller. This exhibit is based on the book, Rhythms of a Faithful Journey, which was illustrated by Robin Miller and co-authored by Robin and her husband, James W, Miller, The book is a collection of narrative quilts and poetry that carries the reader on a journey through African American history from slavery to presidency. The writing is emotional, descriptive, and thought-provoking. The accompanying quilts are as powerful as the poems, making the experience of the poetry visually stimulating. The mixed media collage quilts from the book that will be on display have been exhibited at the African American Museum, Hempstead, NY and Zion Union Heritage Museum, Hyannis, MA.
