Artist Talk: Said in Color — Giselle Landers and Alissa Leigh

Join painters Alissa Leigh and Giselle Landers for a conversation about their work on Saturday, May 16, at 2pm at The Gallery at Yellow Studio.

The talk takes place in the context of Said in Color, the exhibition currently on view through May 24. Leigh and Landers share a love of bold color and expressive abstraction but work in very different ways — Leigh through layering, mark-making, and a process of revision on the surface; Landers through a practice that moves from sketch to digital process before reaching canvas or three-dimensional form. This is a chance to hear both artists speak about their work, their influences, and what it means to make abstract painting today.
