Weaving Indigenous Futures Festival

Westchester is home to a growing Ecuadorian Indigenous community that is re-indigenizing the local landscape. Join us for a showcase of Kichwa migration history, culture, and artistic expression as we celebrate the conclusion of the community arts program, Weaving Indigenous Futures: Learning in action with the Ecuadorian Kichwa community.

This event will reflect on the Indigenous history and future of Westchester County and the importance of Indigenous solidarity. Hosted by Sapiyay Collective, SARUSA, and Wichana Foundation, this showcase will provide a platform for local cultural bearers from the Latinx, immigrant, and Indigenous communities to share their migration stories and cultural heritage through workshops, panels, and performances.
