Chroma Fine Art Gallery presents “Doorways”, April 14 – May 10, 2026. The opening reception will be on Saturday, April 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This month Taras Borovyk has the spotlight at Chroma Fine Art Gallery. With a solo show titled, “Doorways,” Borovyk’s vibrant oil paintings are on display. In Doorways, the artist explores the visual and symbolic language of houses, entrances, and portals. His richly colored compositions focus on doors and architectural details, transforming familiar elements into expressive, painterly studies of light, texture, and form. Each work invites the viewer to pause at the threshold—suggesting moments of transition, passage, and possibility.

Born in 1975 in Lviv, Ukraine, a city shaped by Austrian, Polish, and Ukrainian cultural influences, Borovyk received his early training at Lviv’s Art School and the College of Applied Arts. He later worked as an exhibition designer at the Art Palace in Lviv, collaborating with leading Ukrainian artists. Since moving to the United States in 1997, Borovyk has continued to develop his practice, working as a muralist and exhibiting widely in New York and beyond.

The paintings in Doorways reflect both his European artistic foundation and his experience creating immersive environments. Through bold color and a refined sense of composition, Borovyk elevates everyday architectural forms into dynamic, engaging works that balance structure with painterly expression.
