Lin Esser Performance

A long-time fixture of New York’s SOHO visual arts scene, Lin Esser currently enjoys exhibitions of his work in some of the area’s most prestigious galleries. While known for his dark and often whimsical three dimensional works, collectors and enthusiasts of Esser’s work may not know that Lin has a parallel career as musician and composer. 

Esser is also no stranger to film and theatre and will be participating in the upcoming ‘Modfest’ 2026 at Vassar University as an invited guest artist and collaborating performer. This event features Hudson West’s ‘Rescoring Richter’ series, an ongoing project directed by film maker and documentarian Dave Davidson. 

Over the past five years, KinoSaito has hosted several performances of which Esser has played a major role, most recently as cellist and contributing composer in “Between Worlds,” a Soli Pierce and Bruce Odland multi medium exhibition event earlier this year. Now, Lin once again reaches out to KinoSaito audiences, as cellist and composer.
