COMMON SENSE – The Story of Thomas Paine

“COMMON SENSE – THE STORY OF THOMAS PAINE”

 

COMMON SENSE – The Story of Thomas Paine, will be presented by Tutti Bravi Productions, Inc. at the New Rochelle Public Library on Saturday and Sunday, September 6 and 7, 2025 at 2:00 pm both days in the Ossie Davis Theatre.  The production is an original music-drama written and composed by John Taylor Thomas of New Rochelle.  This has been a work-in-progress as part of the company’s dedication to celebrating the lives and accomplishments of historic New Rochelle residents.

 

Produced by Billie Tucker and directed and choreographed by Judy Tucker, both of New Rochelle, the production includes Alan Briones as older Thomas Paine, Michael Jacoby as Younger Thomas Paine, Valerie Samn as first wife Mary Lambert, Victoria Esposito as second wife Elizabeth Ollive, Paul Geidel as Benjamin Franklin, John Michael Hersey as Paul Revere and John Quincy Adams, Peter Morris Dixon as George Washington, Maurice Richard as Thomas Jefferson, Robert Puleo as Napoleon Bonaparte, and Jennifer Ricci as Marguerite Bonneville, Town Crier and Nurse.  Piano accompanist is Diane Guernsey of New Rochelle.

 

Admission to the performance is free but donations to Tutti Bravi Productions is greatly appreciated.

 

This production is presented in celebration of the upcoming 250th anniversary of Westchester’s part in the American Revolution and has been presented at several libraries in the County.  Those interested in how to bring it to their location should contact [email protected]
