Ian McKellen’s “Acting Shakespeare”. Adapted and Performed by Kamran Saliani

Acting Shakespeare, created by Tony, Olivier and Golden Globe Awards winner Ian McKellen, is a one-man performance featuring Shakespearian monologues and theatrical anecdotes.  McKellen performed it on Broadway, winning the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding One-Person Show!  He also performed in several countries and on television, on PBS.

In 2022, McKellen gave special permission to Kamran Saliani and the Irvington Shakespeare Company, now Rivertowns Playhouse, to perform his personal masterpiece.  We are delighted to bring this theatrical treasure to Yonkers and Untermyer Park.

 All Untermyer Performing Arts Council’s performances are free and open to the public; everyone is welcome.  We cannot provide seating at the park, so please bring chairs or blankets.
