Willie Jones III Quartet

One of the most animated and in-demand drummers on the New York scene, Willie Jones III is known for both his distinct style and for honoring his monumental influences like Art Blakey and Roy Hargrove.

Having played with a who’s-who of jazz giants (like Hargrove, Milt Jackson and Horace Silver) and on Arturo Sandoval’s Grammy-winning album, Willie’s group specializes in hard bop “finger-poppin’,” he told Downbeat, “That’s what I was raised in. I breathe it.”
