Community Weave June 21

Led by bilingual Sleepy Hollow-based arts educator Kersten Harries, participants will create their own 6″x6″ woven square using upcycled T-shirt yarn. Each individual square will be joined to create a communal art piece that will be displayed in the community.

Participants in the June 16 workshop will have the option to join a curator-led tour of the Picasso tapestries in the collection at Kykuit, the historic Rockefeller Estate.

Evento intergeneracional bilingüe de creación artística

Dirigido por la educadora de arte bilingüe de Sleepy Hollow, Kersten Harries, los participantes crearán su propio cuadrado tejido de 6 “x6” con hilo de camiseta reciclado. Cada cuadrado individual se unirá para crear una obra de arte comunitaria. que se exhibirá en la comunidad.

Los participantes en el taller del 16 de junio tendrán la opción de unirse a un recorrido guiado por un curador de los tapices de Picasso en la colección de Kykuit, la histórica finca de Rockefeller.
