The Art of Drag: Workshop Series Grand Finale

After months of intensive workshops and creative exploration during the LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center’s 2024 Rockefeller Brothers Fund Community Arts Residency, the Art of Drag Workshop participants are ready to reveal their artistry.

Under the guidance of renowned drag queens and course instructors Angel Elektra and Shay D’Pines, these budding performers have poured their hearts into mastering the art of drag. With courage and a whole lot of fabulousness, they will embody their newly created drag personas, tell their stories, and celebrate community connection and the power of LGBTQ+ creativity.

The performance will be followed by a reception with artists, fellow drag enthusiasts, and supporters, as well as access to the DR Center gallery, currently showing Sketching Light: Chagall’s Windows for Union Church.
