The Future of Fashion with Designer Lilach Porges

In this interactive presentation about her practice, her business, and her vision of the future of fashion, designer Lilach Porges shares her journey from architecture to pioneering the realm of robot-print fashion in her innovative brand PROCODE_DRESS. Inspired by software engineering, her collections explore the aesthetics of the abilities and limitations of technology.

Examine and experience samples of Porges’s collections that focus on the merger between technology and fashion, combining looks that were 3D printed by a robotic arm through three methods—random, accurate, and large-scale—with sustainable materials. She’ll compare traditional methods, such as pattern making and fabric sewing, to 3D printing by hand and by a robot, where software becomes art and is translated into wearable objects. Porges’ innovative methods explore architectonic shapes with the ambition of bringing the worlds of science, engineering, and fashion together to empower women.
