Vic Juris Quartet Featuring Kate Baker
The variable Vic Juris Quartet is joined by passionate jazz vocalist Kate Baker who together will create a night of Jazz with insurmountable qualities.
Vic Juris started guitar when he was just ten years old while growing up in New Jersey. Initially influenced by the great Chuck Berry, he discovered jazz and classical music in his teenage years and was soon playing those genres himself. Vic’s talented composition skills, along with his ability to creatively style the traditional jazz guitar, makes him and the Quartet a powerfully expressive music group.
Kate Baker, wife of Vic Juris, has vocal stylings that include jazz, blues, and Latin and Brazilian roots, all of which are entwined with her love and passion for singing. She has also performed worldwide and teaches at The New School University of Jazz and Contemporary Music.
