Mexican Folk Art

Ages: Youth 8 – 11

Journey to Mexico by creating a variety of folk art projects designed to expand art skills. This class will expose students to Mexican history as well as Mexican traditional arts and their role in cultural celebrations past and present. Make colorful papel picado banners, piñatas, Huichol masks, three-dimensional flowers and sugar skulls while enjoying an artistic expedition into Mexico’s heartland!
