Dr. Peter Muir is a versatile international pianist,conductor, and educator with a PhD. in Musicology.With a impressively broad repertoire embracing jazz,blues, ragtime, and classical. The New York Times described his playing as “potent” and Newsday praised his “terrific” performances.
This piano lecture/recital presents a virtuoso exploration of an influential musical genre and its interrelationship with the toe-tapping piano style of rags and jazz.
