Apocalypse Now with Special Guests Janet Maslin and Sam Wasson
Sam Wasson, author of the new Francis Ford Coppola biography The Path to Paradise, will be at the Bedford Playhouse in conversation with former NY Times film critic Janet Maslin followed by a special presentation of Apocalypse Now, screened in the main theater in 4K projection and Dolby ATMOS surround sound.
In partnership with the Jacob Burns Film Center, Mr. Wasson will be in conversation with Ms. Maslin on December 11th at the JBFC following a screening of The Conversation.

Sam Wasson is the author of six previous books on Hollywood including the New York Times bestsellers Fifth Avenue, Five A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and the Dawn of the Modern American Woman and The Big Goodbye: Chinatown and the Last Days of Hollywood, and Fosse, the basis for the limited series “Fosse/Verdon.” With Jeanine Basinger, he is co-author of Hollywood: The Oral History.
American Captain Benjamin Willard (Martin Sheen) is assigned to track down and kill Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando), who has reportedly massacred hundreds of innocent people and set up his own fiefdom in the jungle. Willard and his crew encounter strange sights and people on their surreal journey into the heart of darkness.
