Escher String Quartet with Jason Vieaux

The Escher String Quartet, will shake up its traditional repertoire, appearing with strings of another kind – Grammy-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux as guest artist. The Escher is the recipient of a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and has received acclaim for its “profound musical insight” and “rare tonal beauty.” This unusual instrumentation will present compositions by Haydn, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Bach, Metheny, Jobim and Boccherini, some written specifically for string quartet and guitar, arranged by or dedicated to Mr. Vieaux.
